Virginia Irene Trujillo Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,and friend has passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on July 5, 1948, Irene lived a full and beautiful life dedicated to her family, career, and community. She was the devoted wife of Ernest Martin, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving home and raised two children: Ernest Martin Jr (wife Tana Martin) and Christine Hamilton (husband Scot Hamilton).

Irene was immensely proud of her family and found great joy in her grandchildren – Chelsea Martin, Dylan Martin, Zach Hamilton, and Jessica Martin – and her great- grandson Jaxon Martin Cyr. She cherished every moment with them and created a legacy of love, strength, and laughter.

Professionally, Irene was a respected leader in the community. She served as Vice President at Junction Bell Federal Credit Union for many years, where she earned the trust and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Later, she co-owned and operated Mesa Optical Lab, continuing her commitment to excellent service and hard work.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Irene’s life on August 23, 2025, at the Elks Lodge, Located at 249 S 4 th St, Grand Junction, CO. Starting at 12pm to 3pm. The gathering will be a time to share memories honor her life and support one another

in remembrance. Irene’s kindness, grace, and unwavering dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
