Terance Albert Beyrer “Terry” was born to Alfred William and Evelyn Beyrer on March
22, 1939, in Grand Junction, Colorado. He passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026.
George “Bud” and Pearl “Bee” Randolf guided Terry during his teenage years. His three
children called them grandparents.
Terry spent his childhood primarily in Grand Junction graduating from Grand Junction
High School in 1957. He became a United States Marine at 18 years old. He was a
Lance Corporal, Air and Helo mechanic/crew. After the USMC, Terry worked for almost
two decades at Standard Press Steel (SPS), climbing the corporate ladder to a
managerial position. SPS extensively trained their management which Terry relished as
a life long learner. When the company closed its plant in southern California, he moved
his family back to Grand Junction in lieu of being transferred back east. Terry worked for
another 20 years in Grand Junction, using his mechanical and management expertise,
retiring in his early 50’s.
Terry married his childhood friend, Ann Beyrer, on August 8, 1988. Together they spent
40 wonderful years enjoying the same hobbies of fishing, camping, hunting, and
traveling across the United States. Their big blended family was a priority to he and
Ann. Terry was previously married to Janet McClellan, (deceased), for 27 years.
Terry was a lifelong patriot who volunteered his time and money to supporting our
troops and first responders. He was as outdoor activity enthusiast, both in the
mountains and at the beach, his entire life. Terry was an award-winning competitive
shooter, a ferocious reader, and talented wood & metal worker.
Terry, with his beautiful smile, was a hard man who loved even harder.
Terry is survived by his daughters Kelli O’Neal (Mark), Betsy Beyrer, stepdaughter,
Carol Arpke (Paul); grandchildren Blake Gobbo (Ellen), Kortni Stewart (Eric), Tyler
Goodman, Britni Simpson (Alford), Morgan Withers, Dean Withers; step grandchildren
