Ted K. Saunders

On Thursday, March 12, 2026, we said goodbye to our Pop, Grandpa, Brother and Friend. Ted was survived by his brother, Joe Saunders, his two kids, Robert Saunders (and wife, Danielle) and Laura Haar (and husband, Steven), his dog Mercie and his 4 precious grandkids, October, Aubrey, Alexandria and Leo. Ted was born to Woodrow and Laura Saunders on September 30, 1948 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He grew up in Palisade and graduated from Central High School. Ted enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors, amongst so many other hobbies. Ted was a very giving, God fearing man, who was always there for his family and friends. No one was a stranger to that man! Ted made such a huge impact on so many throughout his life. He would always lend a helping hand and never once expected something in return. No matter what Ted was doing, he kept a positive attitude and never complained. If you'd like to celebrate Ted, there is a short ceremony at the Veteran's Memorial at 10 a.m. on March 27, 2026. A service will be held later that day at 2:30 p.m. at the Palisade Church of the Nazarene with a small potluck after, please bring something to share.
