Sandra Paulette Wiechman

Sandra Paulette Wiechman, fondly known as Paulette, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, in Grand Junction, Colorado, at the age of seventy-nine, after bravely facing advanced cancer and other health challenges. Born on September 22, 1946, in the rugged beauty of Wyoming, Sandra Paulette Hedrick grew up shaped by the vast landscape and enduring values of her birthplace—resilience, warmth, and a steadfast devotion to those she cherished.

As Paulette journeyed through life, the bonds of family remained her guiding star. She was the beloved daughter of Paul and Mildred Hedrick, whose early guidance imbued her with compassion and strength. Though they, along with her sisters Claudette and Wilma, preceded her in death, their presence lingered in the gentle way Paulette cared for those around her and in the cherished memories she shared with her own family.

Paulette’s long and loving marriage to Melvin Jack Wiechman was a union of profound companionship and enduring love, until his passing. Together, they nurtured a family who were, and remain, her proudest legacy. Paulette is survived by her devoted daughters Tammy Wiechman and Dawn Wiechman, who embody much of their mother's kindness and indomitable spirit. Through every challenge, joy, and sorrow, Paulette's unwavering support and loving wisdom have been the cornerstone of their lives.

Known for her unwavering grace and a quiet strength that inspired all who knew her, Paulette’s life was marked by moments of perseverance and profound generosity. In times of adversity, friends and family found in her a source of comfort, understanding, and solace. The lessons she imparted—about the importance of love, the value of perseverance, and the art of gentle encouragement—resonate in the hearts of those who continue her story.

A Celebration of Life honoring Sandra Paulette Wiechman will be held on July 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at New Haven Pentecostal Holiness, 426 Kluge Ave, Palisade, CO 81526. All who knew her are welcome to join in reflection, remembrance, and gratitude for a life so fully and lovingly lived.
