Sandra L. Robbins

May 25, 1941 — April 26, 2025

Sandra Lee Robbins, age 83, went to be with her heavenly father on April 26, 2025, in Olathe, Colorado, with her son by her side. A woman of resilience, humor, and quiet strength, Sandra lived a rich and varied life, marked by a deep love for her family, a wandering spirit, and a heart open to every creature who needed a home.

Sandra was born May 25, 1941, in Rochester, New Hampshire to Victor and Agnes (Kealiher) Robbins. Born into a life of movement, Sandra followed her parents across the country during her childhood, planting roots in many places but always carrying her sense of home within her. That early journeying instilled in her a sense of adaptability and an appreciation for life’s unpredictability—qualities that would shape the rest of her life.

Sandra experienced love and companionship throughout her life. Each chapter brought its own lessons, joys, and memories, and she approached each with an open heart. Her greatest legacy, however, lives on in her children.

Beyond her family, Sandra had a lifelong love for animals—especially cats. Whether rescuing a stray or caring for a beloved pet, she had a gift for making animals feel safe and loved.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa (John) Prochazka of Alma, Colorado and her son Tony (Shelly) Dunkin of New Prague, Minnesota. Grandchildren Brandi Reiland, Brad Green, Logan Prochazka, Carly Schwab, and Madison Forshee. Though distance separated them, Sandra remained closely connected to her cherished Kealiher/Robbins cousins in New England, as well as her niece and nephew in Texas, whose love and presence were always felt across the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Shirley Howard and daughter Bonnie Green.

A private family remembrance will be held in her honor.
