Richard L. Pifer, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025 at home with family by his side. Born on May 16, 1941, in Grand Junction, Colorado, Richard was the second son of Lynn C. Pifer and Helen L. Pifer.
Richard was known for his deep passion for cars and racing. A true car enthusiast at heart, he spent countless hours under the hood and behind the wheel, finding joy in speed, precision, and the mechanics that brought it all to life. He also cherished the simple pleasures in life—especially his daily morning coffee with friends. Those coffee gatherings became a treasured routine, filled with friendship, laughter, and stories shared over a warm cup.
Richard leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly D. Brown (Bill K. Brown); his granddaughter, Britteny N. Helkey (Rob L. Helkey); and his great-granddaughter, Addison G. Helkey, who brought him great joy in his later years.
