Renee Christine Garrett

Renee (Naynay) Christine Garrett (68) born May 14,1957 in Delta,Colorado, passed away peacefully in her home in Delta,Colorado on August 13, 2025.

Renee was born in Delta, Colorado to Roenna and Jim Hanson in 1957. She graduated Delta Highschool in 1975. She had accomplished a lot in her life time. She worked many places but is known for and found joy in working at the BigSky, Tru-Vu Drive In and the Egyptian Theater for 35 years. She met her spouse David 1973 and would marry him May 29,1975 at the MantiTemple in Manti,Utah. They had four kids: Rachelle, Shawn, Sabrina and Cris.

Renee was very creative, extremely talented and had a lot of hobbies. She loved to sew, craft and draw. She was very talented and made an abundance of cakes for many people for many different types of events. She was a lover of animals and would take in and care for many of them. She loved her family and all her grandkids greatly.

She was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the ultimate gift giver and selfless person. She will be missed by many. She leaves behind her spouse of 50 years, David Garrett of Delta,Colorado. Daughter Rachelle and son in-law Benjamin Randall of Spanish Fork, Utah. Son Shawn Garrett and daughter in-law Shilynn of Meridian, Idaho. Daughter Sabrina and son in law Chris Ryan of Delta, Colorado. Son Cris Samora and Stephanie of Grand Junction, Colorado. Sister Teresa Wells and family, Sister Julie Holyoak and family. And brother James Hanson and family. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Roenna and Jim, brother Randy Hanson, and her grandparents.

Services for Renee will take place at Delta Cemetery Thursday, August 21 at 10:30am.
