Phillip A. Tino

April 26, 1965 — February 4, 2025

Phillip “Phil” Tino, a beloved husband, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born on April 26, 1965, in West Covina, California, Phil was the youngest of four boys in a large, loving Italian family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Gay Tino.

For 44 years, Phil shared an unbreakable bond with his wife and best friend, Michelle, building a life filled with laughter and making memories. He was the proud grandfather of Devon Beckemeyer and is survived by his daughter, Jenni McKim, and his son, Justin Tino. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, always bringing fun, laughter, and his signature good humor into their lives.

Phil was a true wanderer at heart, making homes in California, Nevada, and most recently, Colorado. No matter where he was, he never met a stranger—just friends he hadn’t gotten to know yet. His kindness knew no limits, always ready to help anyone at the drop of a hat. With a quick wit and a warm smile, Phil had a way of bringing humor and lightness to any situation.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—caring for his plants, surrounding himself with furry friends, and sharing stories with those lucky enough to be in his company. Phil’s legacy of love, generosity, and good humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Phil’s life will be held at a later date when both his children can make plans together. It will be very small and intimate.
