Phillip J. Morlang, JR

Phill Morlang 93 passed away at La Villa grand rehab center after a severe fall. He was born February 12, 1933 to Philip Morlang and Molly Snyder Morlang in Montrose County Colorado.
Growing up in Olathe, he helped his dad farm. He graduated from Olathe high school, married Alene A Pratte , moved to Uravan, Colorado, and drove truck for a mine. Then moved to Grand Junction. He was a father of four children, proceeded in death by oldest son; Perry A Morlang.
surviving children, Lester J. Morlang (Anita) of Whitewater, CO, Cynthia S Morgan(Randy) of Grand Junction, And Philip M Morlang(Joy) of Grand Junction Colorado.
POPs as we called him had such generous ways. From changing your tire or giving you lunch money. He held out his hands or wallet. Pops knew no enemy. He worked hard for his family from sun up to sundown. You could see his hard work in his hands. They were big yet soft and gentle. Pops always had a kind word to say always.
We are going to miss his stories about his early life, and the things he had done. We will miss his sweet kindness, gentleness and jokes, and our tears will never quite dry!
He was an excellent farmer, mechanic and inventor and he loved being a ditch rider in Whitewater in his later years. He loved people, family, and friends, but loved his solitude best not having to answer to anyone.
You could always find him in his Kabota buggy, giving his loyal dogs a long run every afternoon.
He did love going to coffee with his buddies, which continued until they were gone.
Pops had four grandchildren, the eldest grandson preceding him in death Benjamin J Morlang.
He also had eight great grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by his elder brother, Hubert, Morlang of Kentucky, sister, Dorothy Morlang of Montrose, Clara Morlang Pierceall of Illinois. Surviving sister Nadine, Keli of Pueblo CO.
A private graveside service at Crown Point Cemetery, for family and friends will be held at a later date.
