Paul M Willecke

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Paul M. Willecke, who left this world on October 6, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born on May 9, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois. Paul moved to Colorado at a young age and developed a love for nature and the mountains that surrounded him.

Paul dedicated 2 years of his life serving in the Army from 1957 to 1959. This experience shaped his character and instilled in him values that would guide him throughout his life.Paul was not only a veteran but also a gifted artist. He found joy in painting and photography, capturing the beauty of the world around him and sharing it with others. His creative talents were fueled by his deep appreciation for the landscapes he loved. Whether through brush or lens, Paul expressed the serenity and grandeur of nature, leaving behind a legacy of visual stories.

He is survived by his cousins, Robert E. Emmett and Cheryl A. Emmett-Kahr, and his second cousins: David, Jennifer and Christine Sorich. Along with Karen and Brian Emmett. They will cherish the memories of time spent with Paul.In addition to his friends and family, Paul will be remembered fondly by those who have passed before him, including his mother, Doris (Schumann) Yoder, his aunt, Marie (Schumann) Emmett and her husband Robert J. Emmett. Along with James M. Sorich. Their spirits live on through the love and memories shared within the family.

Paul M. Willecke will be dearly missed, but his spirit and the beauty he brought to the world through his art and love for nature will resonate for generations to come.
