Patrick “Pat” Diehl Solbach, of Loma, Colorado passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at the age of 76. He lived a life filled with laughter, generosity, and love for the outdoors. He was born on August 19, 1949, to Melvin and Jeanne Solbach in Clay Center, Kansas. He married Jill Socha French in 1984 and together they raised Karl, Patrick and Molly.
Pat was an expert craftsman who had his own general contracting business for over 46 years. He taught his children and grand children his trade. He was proud to have his son, Patrick take over the business. Pat also enjoyed working his Loma farm along with family.
Pat was passionate at everything he did. When he lived in California, it was wind surfing and skiing. He loved dancing with his wife, cooking big meals for family and friends and he especially loved skiing and being a Ski Guide with the Young at Heart at Powderhorn Ski Resort for the past 20 years.
He always enjoyed his grandchildren, loved to ski with them and to patiently teach them everything he knew.
He is survived by his wife, Jill and her son Karl, their son, Patrick and their daughter, Molly; and their eight grandchildren.
