Marilyn was born February 12, 1942, to Carl and Helen (Dillingham) Coup in Fort Morgan Colorado. She grew up in Steamboat Springs and in Fruita. She was the oldest of seven siblings. She married David Fiels August 1, 1960. They moved to the Tender Foot Mesa, where David was employed as a uranium miner. They moved to Outlaw Mesa and then Morgan Mesa.
Her first child (Alan) was born July 2, 1961. Moving to Nucla Colorado in 1972. Her second child (Michael) was born June 11, 1972. Living in Nucla until 1982. She then moved to Kanab, Utah where she worked at The Tom Cat and Crazy Rabbit trading post and convenience store. They moved again to Winnemucca, Nevada where they purchased a home. Working at Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2012.
Marilyn enjoyed a local bowling league making many lifelong friends. At age 82 she moved back to Colorado and lived with her son Alan until her passing.
Preceded in death by her, husband David July 1, 2014. They were married 54 years. They both loved rock hunting together every chance they had. Marilyn enjoyed many different arts and crafts through her life; stained glass was always on the top of her things she enjoyed. Parents, Carl and Helen, brothers Donald and Glen.
Survived by her sons Alan (Lori) Files and Michael (Nicole) Files. Sisters Carilyn Glass, Jean (Danny) Owen, brothers Henry (Cheryl) Coup, Gary (Gina) Coup. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
