Maria Guadalupe Arrieta-Molina

Maria “Lupe” was born in El Paso, Texas on October 10, 1962 to Jose and Dionicia “Nicha” Arrieta. She grew up in the Riverside neighborhood of Grand Junction, CO, attended Riverside Elementary School, Scenic Elementary School, West Middle School, and graduated from Grand Junction High School.

She was proud of her career as an insurance agent and owned several agencies throughout her career. Lupe married Daniel “Danny” Molina, the love of her life, on October 8, 2008. Aside from spending time with her husband and family, Lupe also loved dancing, shopping on QVC, and traveling. She created Ballet Folklorico Raices, where she used her passion for dancing to teach ballet folklorico to members of the community.

Lupe had a deep affection for youth, and spent years as a youth group leader at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She also provided foster care for youth over the years and many of them held a special place in her heart.

While we will miss her dearly, we take comfort in the fact that she is reunited with her parents and other relatives who have passed away.

She is preceded in death by her parents and father in law. She is survived by her husband Danny, mother in law Guadalupe, son James (Aimee), son Stephen, daughter Yolanda, Danny’s daughter Elcy Daniela (Isaias), sister Graciela “Grace” (Marion), sister Griselda, brother Jose “Joe” (Candy), Danny’s siblings, 10 nieces, 13 nephews, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Viewing (9:30 AM), Rosary (11 AM), and Funeral (12 PM) for Lupe will be on Friday February 27, 2026 all at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The burial (Orchard Mesa Cemetery) and celebration of life will follow.
