Jerry Dell Robbins

January 24, 1940 — August 10, 2025

I write this with so much love and sadness for Jerry Dell Robbins, my husband of 26 years, a true treasure of the Colorado Western Slope.

Jerry, the descendant of a Union soldier and a Colorado pioneer, was a Grand Junction native, born with Irish blood on January 24,1940 to Ruth Murphy and Raymond Robbins, the youngest of their six children. He grew up surrounded by the large Murphy-Robbins clan.

He graduated from Grand Junction High School and proudly served six years in the Army National Guard. He was an American patriot, successful businessman, salesman, inventor and Design Patent assignee.

Jerry was married to Virginia Henderson from 1962-1986. They had two daughters, Lori (Battle Ground WA) and Lanie (Montrose CO), who blessed him with five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of who he loved deeply.

Jerry married me, Joyce Schaefer, in 1999 and became a beloved stepfather to Jill ( Arvada CO), Joe (Arvada, CO) and Debby ( Sarasota FL) and the cherished grandfather of my eight grandchildren.

Jerry left unfinished business and unspoken words appreciation to his many friends and acquaintances in the Grand Valley. He will long be remembered an intelligent, creative, loyal, funny and generous man who loved to cook.

Jerry passed away on August 10, 2025, in his beloved home, with Little Dog and me by his side.

I am grateful to Hope West for the compassionate care provided in his final days.

No Service is planned.

My appreciation to the patriots of Snyder Memorial and Funeral Service who made the arrangements.

Internment at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens on August 14, 2025
