Jacob Lee Daniels

Jacob Lee Daniels was born August 8, 1980, to Dale and Rebecca Daniels in Brush, CO. He joined his older siblings, Connie and Adam, who were delighted to have a baby brother. Later Jacob was joined by sister Emily and brother Forrest. When Jacob turned eight years old on 8/8/88, he had a party at 8:00 in the morning with 8 friends where they played 8 games. Jacob was featured in the local newspaper with his celebration of eights.

As Jacob grew up it was obvious that he had the abilities to engineer, shown through his masterful Lego designs and drawings. Jacob graduated high school in 1999 and continued his education by attending Wyoming Community College in Gillette and Casper College in Casper, Wyoming. While attending college Jacob worked for Schlumberger Well Service. In 2004, Jacob transferred to Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO to pursue a degree in chemical engineering.

Jacob was involved in helping his father start DLD Pipe Recovery Services in 2007. Jacob left the DLD in 2009 and worked locally in Grand Junction in HVAC. When Dale and Rebecca moved to a rural property in Fruita, Jacob joined them and enjoyed helping and living on the farm with his goats, chickens, lambs, and cow. Jacob left the Grand Valley in 2016 and spent the following years living off-grid preferring his own company.

In the following years, Jacob had occasional contact with his family. In July of this year, the family enjoyed a pleasant visit with him. Jacob wanted to continue to sleep under the stars. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is free from his earthly struggles and is in the arms of Jesus. He is preceded in death by his father, Dale and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Rebecca, sisters Connie Tremblay and Emily and brothers Adam (Jennifer) and Forrest (Britt) and numerous nieces and nephews.
