Gerald R. Longman

Gerald Richard Longman entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior and exchanged his earth for his heavenly home on December 11, 2023. He was born in Denver on February 8, 1938 to John Philip Longman and Mildred Irene King. Jerry was a school teacher in Delta, CO for 20 years and a school teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools for 15 years. He bought a portable rock-climbing wall in 1998 and his business, Mountain High Challenge, eventually purchased a 22-foot fire truck slide in a variety of events. He loved his Lord, music, painting, hunting, fishing, and his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Dixie Lee Longman, a daughter, Vicki Lynn Riddle, a son, Jerry Philip Longman (Jessica), grandchildren Nick Lawhead (Melody), Erin Lucas (Denver), Kara Riddle (Bryson Crow), Mitchell Longman, Krystina Longman, John Longman (Meghan), great grandchildren Logan, Lucas and Kiersten Lawhead, Rainee, Isabella, Alyce Lucas, Lakyn and Judah Longman, and Atlas Sprayberry, and brother and sister-in-law John and Barbara Olander, and sister-in-law Linda Nickolisen.

Family will hold a private service. Memorial contributions to HopeWest in Grand Junction, CO.
