Eric Wynn

Eric Aung Wynn Eric Aung Wynn was primarily a chef for most of his life. He was also a a textile importer/exporter, a metals broker, a car salesman, a Domino's pizza driver, and many more jobs. In his golden years he spent most of his free time volunteering for the elderly. In 2018, he won Beacon Volunteer of the year in Mesa country, Colorado, where he has lived for over 20 years. He would often volunteer in the morning and then go to work straight afterwards. Nothing would stop him from making time and helping those in need. He once did a route for his work for Meals on Wheels immediately after passing a gallstone that same day.

He grew up in a small hill town in Maymyo, Burma. While majoring in economics, due to political unrest, he was forced to flee the only nation he ever knew at the time. He found himself traveling the world and his love for adventure only grew. He spoke six languages, was a champion ping pong player, and was a devout Catholic. He had boundless energy and could never sit still. He was always gung-ho and was never afraid to try something new. He loved to cook, read spy fiction, have six sugars with his coffee every morning, and serenade you '50s songs. . If you needed something, he would drop everything and be there for you in a blink of an eye. His love and kindness was endless and contagious. He will be forever missed.

Eric passed away on August 17, 2023 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his son, Gavin, his niece, Melina, many cousins, and a food bank he started in his homeland.

A memorial service will be held at 720 Grand Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501 at 11am on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

An honoring will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary at 790 26 1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81501 at the 4:30pm mass on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
