On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, Dorothy Verda Ulibarri, loving wife, sister, and mother of three, passed away at 89 due to congestive heart failure. An avid reader and natural teacher, Dorothy earned her associate degree in education and taught elementary grades at Intermountain Adventist Academy. She was also an accomplished seamstress teaching many to sew. Earning a private pilot's license and flying her students, family, and friends around was a gift she loved to share. Whether snow skiing, water skiing, running, peddling her 10-speed bike or riding her ATV in Colorado, she loved the outdoors. But all that adventure never kept her from being an accomplished cook and master at preserving food, and her home was always meticulously cared for just in case she wanted to host a spontaneous event.
Her husband, Joe A. Ulibarri, preceded her in death. Surviving children are Keith Ulibarri (Ladonna Cruson), Rhonda Riggle (Jerry Riggle), and Lex Ulibarri (Fabio Di Mascio). In addition, she has one surviving brother, Victor Brown, and a niece, Celia Boyd. She considered two very special women as her daughters, Melissa Kinlaw and Heather Miller.
Dorothy’s life centered around her love for Jesus in everything she did and how she treated people. On Dorothy’s behalf, be intentionally kind and always smile.
