Dennis Gene Johnson, 68, of Clifton, CO, passed away on December 5, 2023. Born December 14,1954, in Phoenix, AZ, Dennis was a beloved son, brother, and friend.


Dennis led a fulfilling life, always finding joy in the great outdoors. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, spending countless hours in nature. Dennis was known for his generous nature, always thinking of others. His thoughtfulness was evident in the thoughtful gifts he would buy for his loved ones. Dennis took care of his mother in her later years.


Throughout his career, Dennis worked at Powderhorn Coal Company and various other mines. He also had experience in concrete construction, showcasing his strong work ethic and dedication.


Dennis is survived by his siblings: Faith Hill (Ben), Colleen Fleenor (Guy), Beverly Crawford (Lincoln), Brian Johnson (Veronica), Julie Stogsdill (Steve), and Peggy Gunning (Vance). He also leaves behind numerous other family members. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Barbara Johnson, and his niece, Leah Marie Hill.


A graveside service to honor and remember Dennis will be held on December 16, 2023, at 1 PM at Mesa Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Snyder Funeral Home in Grand Junction, CO.


Dennis Gene Johnson will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
