David Gene Haller, known by his friends as Whitey of Grand junction, CO joined his lord and Savior on March 18, 2026 one month after turning 71. David spent his life in the Grand Junction and Fruita areas where he was born and raised. He cherished the time he spent with his grandparents on their farms. Family get togethers often included creating music together. David played the fiddle and guitar and was able to play anything he heard by ear. He was very creative and could build anything he put his mind to including jewelry, shoes, belts, bird cages, doll cradles and a Barbie Mansion for his girls. He could often be found shooting pool, singing karaoke and country western dancing.
David contributed much to the Grand Valley including the building expansion of St. Mary’s Hospital and Canyon View Park. He enjoyed operating heavy equipment.
David was a loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was witty, funny, and always had a joke to share.
David was proceeded in death by his mother, Doris Laverne Sass and father, Leslie Haller Jr. and many cherished cousins and friends along the way.
He is survived by his 4 daughters, Amy (Ryan) Pierce, Heidi Lorimor, Stephanie Weber, and Wendy Kerrigan his two brothers Randy and Warren Haller, his only niece Kendall Haller and his 10 grandchildren Jeffery Dottson III (Tre), Camden Dottson, Zaylynn Dottson, Collin and Travis Pierce, Tanner and Maison Booker, Benjamin and Riley Weber, Cody Steele, and Felicity Kerrigan.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him
