Cynthia Lou (Griffin) Funk

Cindy Funk, 79 years of age, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24th, 2026 in Palisade, CO.

Cindy was born in 1947 in Denver, CO. She was the youngest of two children. She is preceded in death by her parents Thelma Griffin and James Griffin and her Son, Greg Funk. She is survived by her husband Richard Funk of Palisade, brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Peggy Griffin of Meeker, daughters Kim Gross of Meeker and Kristi Guerrero of Grand Junction, son James Funk of Palisade, son-in law Garry Guerrero of Grand Junction, her 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Cindy graduated from Evergreen High School in 1965. She met Richard in early 1967 where they were later married on September 17th, 1967. Over their years together, they relocated briefly to Meeker before settling in Palisade in 1983. Over the years, Cindy was a beloved member of the community spending countless hours in the packing sheds as well as at Family Foodtown. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She spent her retirement years attending countless events for her grandchildren and traveling from ball-fields to rodeo arenas. She will be dearly missed.

The Celebration of Life for Cindy will be held on Friday September 11th, 2026 @ 5 pm at the Old Palisade High School Gym @ 711 Iowa Avenue Palisade, CO 81526.
