Connor Ray Snyder

Connor Ray Snyder, born November 23, 2000, passed on to his heavenly home on August 31, 2026, at the age of 25. He will be remembered as a kindhearted young man who would go out of his way to help anyone. He especially loved teasing and pranking his sister and friends, and that playful spirit brought laughter to the people around him. 

Connor grew up in Eastern Idaho and Northern Nevada and graduated from Platte Valley High School in Kersey, Colorado in 2019, an accomplishment he was proud of. He went on to work in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, a field well suited to his love of fixing and making things. He was gifted with his hands and found satisfaction in hard work, craftsmanship, and creating something useful and lasting. He had a creative mind and especially enjoyed making things out of metal. 

He enjoyed playing guitar, leather working, welding, fishing, archery, and competitive shooting. Some of the happiest memories of Connor were made while fishing, hunting, camping, riding dirt bikes and horses, and taking part in shooting sports. He loved spending time with his family, and those moments will remain treasured by all who knew him. While living in Drummond, Idaho, he won first place in the American Dog Derby Junior division dog sled race, a memory that reflects both his adventurous nature and his determination. Among the accomplishments he held with pride were graduating from high school; and 4H achievements including earning the Grand Champion Cow/Calf Pair in Elko, Nevada, winning the gold medal in archery, and the silver medal in shotgun at the Nevada State 4H shooting Competition. He was also a great cook, though he would never admit it.

Connor is survived by his father and mother, Jeff and Judy Snyder; his brothers, Tyson Kuder and Matthew Snyder, and their wives, Christine and Chrystal; his sisters, Sarah Biggs and Christina Thorderson; and Sarah’s husband, Matthew. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Sarah Joan Fairbanks; his grandparents, Melvin and Joan Snyder; his uncle Mike Johansen and aunt Nita; and his aunt Robin Buchanan and uncle Mark. The love of his family was an important part of his life, and his memory will continue to live on in the stories they share, the laughter they remember, and the time they spent together. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Kim Johansen and Jody Snyder; his aunt, Melanie Snyder; and his grandfather, Kenneth Johansen. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Stillwater Cowboy Church, 968 19 Rd, Fruita, Colorado 81521.Connor’s life was marked by generosity, humor, skill, and a deep love for family and the outdoors. He leaves behind memories of adventure, warmth, and laughter that will be carried forward by all who loved him.
