Anna Louise Etchart

Anna Louise Etchart, 78, of Fruita, CO, peacefully passed away January 28, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jean and LeonaArcuby, and her husband, Emile Etchart. She is survived by her sister, Marcella Stockert of Fruita, CO; brothers, Jean Arcuby (Kathy) of Mesa, AZ, and Arnaud Arcuby of Fruita, CO; sons, David Etchart (Donna) of Draper, UT; Michael Etchart (Alyson); and Joseph Etchart (Ellen), both of Fruita, CO, and 4 grandchildren, Emilie, Alexander, Andrew, and Aryanna.

Anna was born on May 2, 1947, and lived her whole life in Fruita. She married Emile, the love of her life, on September 27, 1969, and built a fruitful life together, raising three sons and helping on the farm. Anna boasted a large vegetable garden and provided comforting meals for friends and family who helped stack hay and harvest crops. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and playing the accordion. After Emile’s untimely death in 1990, Anna forged ahead, earning an Associate’s degree from Mesa State College. She then worked for the State of Colorado, where she remained until her retirement. During this time, she also helped Mike and Joe with the farm. Upon retiring, Anna surrounded herself with family. She spent time cooking for her loved ones, playing with her grandchildren, and sharing stories over coffee with Marcella and Arnaud, many of which would end in uncontrollable laughter. Anna’s home was a beacon of comfort and light. She took great pride in the paths her sons walked and celebrated her grandchildren’s accomplishments. Anna’s dedication and kindness will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed.

Anna’s services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 1210 17 ½ Road, Fruita, CO 81521. A rosary will be offered on February 6, 2026, at 6:30 PM with a visitation from 6:00-6:30. A mass for her will be held on February 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the New Elmwood Cemetery.
