Ann L. Muhr-Boyd

October 14, 1938 — January 24, 2026

Ann Muhr-Boyd passed away January 24, 2026 at her home in Grand Junction, CO. 87 years a life well lived. Ann was born October 14, 1938 in Oberlin, KS. She is survived by her son Andrew Muhr (Julie), and daughters Kathryn Hart (Michael), and Beverly Campbell (David), and step daughter Sharon Sears. Ann had the absolute joy of being a grandmother to Kyle Muhr (Samantha), Cammi Muhr, Joseph Campbell, Jennifer Forbes (Eli), Rebecca Hart, Ian Hart, Julie Campbell, Spencer Campbell, Jenn Lemming (Kelsey), Jeremy Boyd, Stacy Splude (Jeremy), Joshua Sears, Rebekah Parker, Rachel Delisca, and Josiah Sears. She was also a Great grandmother to 15 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren! Ann was preceded in death by her parents Owen and Evelyn Taylor and her brother Gene Taylor. She survived the loss of two wonderful husbands, Kenneth Muhr (D 1995) and Dunston Boyd (D 2017). She was also preceded in death by step-son David Boyd (D 2025) (Tricia) and Great grandson Jordan Turley (D 2022)

Ann had a great career as a Medical Records Administrator in GJ. She worked for St. Mary’s Hospital, Mesa Memorial Hospital, and Hilltop Rehab Hospital. She served the medical community in GJ well. She would probably tell you the thing she was proudest of was her life as a wife and mother. Family always came first, until her last breath.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for spring 2026. We ask that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to either of two of Ann’s favorite organizations: Meals on Wheels at 698 Long Acre Drive, Grand Junction, CO 81505; or Challenger Baseball GJ (a division of Little League Baseball) P.O. Box 667, Grand Junction, CO 81502.

The family would also like to thank the staff at The Lodge and Abode Hospice; and also Snyder Memorial and Funeral Services. We appreciate all of them.

Ann was well loved by all that knew her. In the days/weeks leading up to her death she made it clear she was at peace and ready to go. Bad days are a part of a good life. Her passing was a bad day for us. But she had a wonderful life and we’re so thankful we got to be a part of it.
