Alana Dean Foster 78, of Delta Colorado, passed away on March 2, 2026.

She was born in Montrose, Colorado, December 5, 1947 to Dean A. Foster and Myrtle A. Anderson.

Alana spent her childhood in Olathe and Montrose graduating from Montrose High School in 1966. Attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah receiving a degree in Registered Nursing. She served over 40 years in the medical field.

She married JohnnyLee Pritchett and a daughter, MaryDean was born in Salt Lake City. The marriage ended in divorce. They lived in Utah, Idaho, California, then back to Colorado. Years later, Alana married Arnold Quillen and lived in Cedaredge. The marriage ended in divorce. 

Following her nursing career Alana returned to BYU receiving a degree in Family History followed by a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.

Alana was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, MaryDean.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Heath Barker, Sr., and two grandsons Heath Jr. and Geoffrey (Alaina) and two great grandchildren. Two brothers Jerry (Lynette) of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Leslie (Marcia) of Charleston, South Carolina and many nieces and nephews.

Alana loved her family deeply, as well as all of her very close friends, like family, in the Cedaredge, Delta and Montrose areas.
